The beautiful designs of Intimate Moments® are inspired out of my own personal history and my committed journey into self healing and self discovery.
They are inspired out of my deep compassion and love for the body and my knowing that the greatest healing occurs on all levels when we accept, honor, respect and love our bodies, without judgment, regardless of the form the body uses to express itself.
They are inspired out of my enormous love for all fellow ostomates and for all men and women who have had to face and endure great physical and emotional hardship on their road to health and healing.
They are inspired out of my knowing that our bodies, our thoughts and our emotions are the gateways to our soul and as such are sacred thresholds into the mystery, power and purpose of self… For many years I struggled to be “normal” and to fit in. I struggled to accept my life, my body and my circumstance. As a 3 time cancer survivor and one who walked through numerous life-death experiences over the past 20+ years, I struggled to find the “light” at the end of the tunnel.
But with time, and the gentle yet exceptional love I received from family, friends, surgeons, nurses and “healers” of all kind, I learned to see myself through new eyes…the eyes of love. I discovered that I brought these extraordinary and most challenging circumstances into my life not as punishment or burden, but precisely because these events would discipline and define me and ultimately lead me into the truth of who I am.
The moment I accepted my body and the uniqueness of my life it was as if twenty years of personal pain and heartache were lifted from my heart. My acceptance brought me to deeper levels of courage, trust and faith; my clarity opened and I was suddenly at one with the Divine Wisdom and Profound Peace that rests within each of us. With acceptance and peace came self-love, and with self-love came profound clearing and healing on all levels.
As with everything in life self-acceptance is a process; you will discover it is the most powerful tool you have. Each day that I say yes to life and bless my body for being the magnificent teacher it is, my personal power, beauty and truth simply radiate. My desire is for my story to become your story and from this place may we all bless and inspire others to reach their highest potential.
It was in this “light” that I was inspired to create Intimate Moments® as a way of returning self-love to the body. Adorning our bodies with beautiful fabrics and styles that care for our most personal needs not only enhances our well being but connects us to our creativity, sensuality and love of self. Just that little bit of satin and lace around my tummy and hips and I feel confident, beautiful, desirable and proud. Certainly there is no greater gift we can offer ourselves than acceptance and love. Thank you for allowing these designs to be a part of that blessed process with you. May life bless you and may your love of self gather you and bring you home.
